BUILD - CODE - LEARN
Imagine designing, building and programming your very own robotic vehicle! We are always amazed at how quickly and competently primary school pupils take on the challenge of learning through robotics.
Pupils from Year 1 through to Year 6 build and program simple and exciting robots using familiar LEGO® bricks that they know and love, as well as more technical LEGO elements that introduce them to concepts related to machines and mechanisms. Pupils will learn aspects from the computing, science and DT programmes of study. They will be investigating, creating, persevering, testing, learning from their mistakes, and having lots of fun!
The LEGO® Education WeDo 2.0 Core Set consists of a Smarthub, motor, motion sensor, tilt sensor and a wide collection of bricks and other building elements. The elements are delivered in a sturdy plastic box with a sorting tray which is great for classroom storage and organisation.
The free software includes structured teaching materials and building guides so that everyone can succeed – or pupils can be set open-ended tasks that will inspire and challenge all abilities.
The software/app works with almost every device but it's a good idea to check that it works with yours: check system requirements.
