It’s time to raise a new robot! Welcome to our family SPIKE™ Essential!

LEGO® Education’s brand new SPIKE™ Essential Set ignites primary school pupils’ passion for STEAM learning through playful problem-solving, preparing them to be resilient, independent thinkers.
 
As part of the LEGO Learning System, SPIKE Essential engages all pupils in hands-on investigation of STEAM concepts while contributing to literacy, maths and social-emotional development. Curriculum-aligned learning units use everyday themes, relatable minifigures with different personalities and familiar LEGO building elements to solve problems through storytelling. We love it! SPIKE Essential combines icon and word-based block coding with simple hardware – including an intelligent Hub, motors, a Light Matrix and a Colour Sensor – to bring STEAM concepts to life. Pupils plan and develop creative solutions through trial and error while working with their friends – and having fun!

Up to two members of staff from a school, are invited to join us online for a 2 hour, hands-on introduction to LEGO Education's SPIKE Essential set with a Certified LEGO Education Trainer. This fun, group session will introduce primary school teachers to the SPIKE Essential set, the FREE lesson materials and help you get coding to bring your robotic creations to life! We love the power of playful learning!
