LEGO® Education BricQ Motion Essential set engages primary school pupils in STEAM learning as they experiment forces, motion and interactions in the context of sport. It provides fun, hands-on learning experiences that are easily accessible, as pupils set LEGO bricks in motion without the need for technology.
This 523-piece set includes an extensive selection of special elements, such as gears, weight bricks, springs and 4 minifigures (and spare parts too!) Colour-coded sorting trays also ease the building process and support classroom resource management. Two printed building instructions with inspirational ideas are included which help pupils discover physical science in action, even those who have never built with LEGO bricks before.
This introductory STEAM experience provides 2 units of 7 x 45 minute, curriculum-aligned lessons (one each for lower and upper primary) that include everything from engaging videos and printable worksheets that excite and inspire pupils, to lesson plans, teacher videos, assessment rubrics and maths and English extensions that support teachers. BricQ Motion Essential is also supported by a comprehensive professional development programme.
In addition to the classroom-based set, there is also an optional Personal Learning Kit (PLK) available which is a fantastic resource to enable pupils to continue their learning experience outside of the classroom.
