MINDSTORMS CHALLENGES…
Here are the first MINDSTROMS Challenges! Send us your results and we will post them up – send to challenge@raisingrobots.com or tweet them @raisingrobots

CHALLENGE 1: BE A ‘MAZE’ ING
What a great way to develop your robot skills! Mark out a maze on the floor (using tape or paper) and then see how quickly you can get your robot through it. If you are working with someone else, you could see who can solve the maze the quickest. Keep your maze quite simple to start with – it is good to build up your robot’s confidence!
To get you started, the videos I would recommend are:
TURNING (AND SPINNING!) – SO MUCH FUN!
Good luck – you will be amazing! Sarah

CHALLENGE 2: BE FAST!
We love racing our robots! See how fast you can get your MINDSTORMS EV3 to go. Mark yourself a race track out – make it 400cm long. Please make sure you start your race with the words – “Ready, LEGO, Go!”
To get you started, the videos I would recommend are:
If you want to get your robot to go really fast, you can add gears to it! This can be tricky – watch out for your robot going wonky!
Get speedy – Colin

CHALLENGE 3: BE A DANCER!
A dancing robot is a happy robot. Give your robot a tune to dance to and then power up your motors. If you are at home, your robot can dance solo – but if you have another robot around, maybe they could become dance partners! Keep the dance to 45 seconds…
To get you started, the videos I would recommend are:
When I dance I do a lot of spinning! So I guess you might need:
TURNING (AND SPINNING!) – SO MUCH FUN!
Then you need to get some sound for your robot to dance to – if you can only record a short sound – just keep repeating it!
Obviously, when a robot is dancing, it is going to be very happy! So make sure that you get a good facial expression on the screen of your robot!
DISPLAY BLOCK – GIVE YOUR ROBOT SOME EXPRESSION!
Keeeeep dancing! John
